I am new to the whole blog thing, but I figured I needed some place to vent. I often find myself watching the news and getting disgusted with what I see, or only one side of a story being told. I starting asking my self why don't these people ask the hard questions. For example, why is it that the only action reported from Iraq is the number of troops or civilians killed? Why isn't it reported how many bad guys were caught or killed? Why isn't it said that we are not the ones killing the civilians, that it is the bad guys that we are after? Why is it that people forget so quickly what it takes for our country to be free? Why don't these people understand that we must go and search out the enemy before they come here? They have already proved that they can come here to hurt us. Why isn't it ok that we go to their home and get them first? It's sad to say, but it will take something even more traumatic than 9/11 to happen to give this country a wake up call and make them see that we can't just bring all of our troops home and everything will be ok. Running away from a problem doesn't make it go away. It will only draw the enemy here to our home turf. Do we really want that? Do we really want a war in our own country? Then what will the left wing do? Will they try and find somewhere else to run too? What can they hide behind when our own streets look like Baghdad? I personally don't want my family to have to live like that.
Like I said, I'm new to the blog scene. I'm not much for writing in paragraphs or any other proper writing. I'm just here writing what's on my mind.
But hey, this is only one troops opinion.
